Health and Safety At Work Act 2015

With the recent changes to the Health and Safety Act, the wider Tourism Industry is facing a significant shake up in the way they manage risks in the workplace.

In February 2016, Hawke’s Bay Tourism brought Gwendoline Keel from law firm Simpson Grierson to Hawke’s Bay to run a Health and Safety workshop.

Gwen  is a Senior Associate with national law firm Simpson Grierson. She specialises in the legal issues presented by all aspects of entertainment and venue management, including health and safety, governance, contracting, advertising, ticketing, alcohol and catering, regulatory compliance, and disputes, and all aspects of structuring, licensing and hosting major events. She is based in Hamilton, and regularly speaks at industry conferences.
